The aim of the internship was to create a platform for scientific articles submission, able to manage Virtual Machines used for run on the platform the experiment, used by the author, to generate the content (data and figures) of the article.The steps included:- Analysis of the existing solutions.- Search of the present tools and applications on the market.- Proposal of various technical solutions.The final product has been a REST web service, made with the Python web framework Django, where Virtual Machines are managed by Vagrant (a wrapper tool of VirtualBox and VMware able to describe, create and run VMs through a Ruby configuration file), which tasks are called through Celery, an asynchronous Python library.For the frontend I used the framework Bootstrap combined with Django templates and Javascript.During the period I also studied the build automation tool Gradle, because was part of an initial design.Technical environment: PYTHON, DJANGO, VAGRANT, BOOTSTRAP, JAVASCRIPT

The internship consisted in a porting of device driver for an ARM based embedded platform, from the Linux Kernel 2.4 to the 3.0.I studied the kernel internals and I became confident with the GNU cross-compiling tools and the Shell scripting.Technical environment: C, SHELL SCRIPTING, LINUX
