For over two decades, I worked with Internet based services to the general public, always listening closely to customer feedback wherever that is available. Telia's public e-mail service grew to become Sweden's largest domestic e-mail service, and is still widely popular. Nowadays, though, I work as an operations coordinator in the railway sector, monitoring the infrastructure. My insights about customer needs and the evolution of the Internet have often been highly valued by management, and I've been able to serve as a mentor of sorts for colleagues who haven't followed the growth of the commercial Internet as closely. My insights have come in handy when overseeing the internal use of domain names, when forming policies for usenet content or helping out with regulatory matters.I've also been involved in numerous projects, in areas as diverse as identifying the future competitive landscape, shaping Telia's web presence, identifying requirements for product handling in future business systems or in product development.Throughout, I've always been a keen listener to customers telling their stories. I'm also equipped with a vidid imagination and yet an urge to focus on stuff that matters(thus preferring to suggest closedown of initiatives that are past their prime and don't have any realistically positive outlook). My knowledge and thinking could be useful in areas such as business development, requirements gathering/prioritization, product management and social media.
