As LYMEC Representative to IFLRY I represent the European Liberal Youth at its worldwide umbrella organisation.

As Treasurer of the umbrella organisation of +-60 liberal youth organisations I was responsible for all budgetary matters, such as drafting the budget, setting long-term financial policy and reporting about our finances to the congress and the internal and external auditors. I also oversaw the planning of our congresses and was involved in organising multiple smaller and bigger events.

For the Internet Governance Forum's Dynamic Coalition on Internet Standards, Security and Safety I provided both strategic advice and supported the work of the DC operationally. On a strategic level I supported the search for funding, the inclusion of strategic stakeholders and the positioning of the coalition within the internet governance community. On an operational level I assisted with organising general meetings and membership communication through e.g. surveys.

I assisted cybersecurity expert Wout de Natris with writing a research report for the United Nations Internet Governance Forum (IGF) on the implementation of security-related internet standards. For the report I assisted in organising workshops for the IGF in Berlin, doing background research and interviewing experts. I also did a significant part of the editing of the final report. The project received financial assistance from, among others, the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, ECP and SIDN.

I assisted ICANN Board Member and former Member of the Dutch and European Parliament Lousewies van der Laan with both political work as well as with her independent projects. I did the financial planning for projects, I provided strategic advice on her work with a Dutch start-up and assisted in a sales pitch, I organised work visits and did numerous research assignments. Most of the work was focused on themes of international cybersecurity and cyber diplomacy.

I was elected by the congress as Political and International Officer responsible for JD's political spokespersons and their working groups in charge of shaping JD's political ideology on one side and responsible for all JD's international work and representation, like leading delegations to our international umbrella organisations LYMEC and IFLRY. I gained valuable experience in intercultural communication and leadership skills.

When no Treasurer was elected at our congress I decided to take this task upon me and take responsibility for JD's financial policy like applying for subsidies, supporting local Treasurers and reshaping budgets in a time of great budgetary constraints. My greatest task was to enforce a budget cut of about €40.000 on a budget of +-€350.000. I combined this with the responsibilities as International Officer but because of the pressure of the two full-time positions most of the responsibilities as Political Officer were taken over by other board members.

As Group Chair I led the biggest party of the University Student Council. I represented the party in the council and towards the press.

As Student Assessor I represented the students of the Nijmegen School of Management with the faculty's Executive Board. I advised the Board on student affairs and connected the co-decision council with the Executive Board.
