The role as national coordinator has me working with local chapters all over Sweden. My responsibility is the development of all EWB chapters. My main tasks as national coordinator are:-Responsible for group development, including investing national funds for projects aimed at local development, identifying and spreading new initiatives with potential for scaling at the national level. -Organizational development, reviewing processes and creating tools for a smoother operation.-Regularly organizing and leading monthly meetings with group leaders from all local groups around Sweden.-Representing the local groups at the national board meetings.

As chairman of the student group at Chalmers UT I get to lead a great group of students in our three areas of focus: - Inspiration, showing what an engineer is and what he/she does to the public (foremost to kids and young adults).- Reflection, engaging with engineers and engineering students to highlight the role that they as engineers play and will in the world.- Volunteering, the words we work by are "stable development in stable areas". Work mostly focused on solutions that makes the life easier for those we help.My role as chairman involves: - Making sure my group members are enjoying what the do by assigning meaningful tasks and that they grow in all aspects of their roles. I feel that this is my most important task. - Growing the organization by increasing our numbers, projects and influence. - Establishing contacts with companies and other organizations. - Managing the groups economics and funding. - Public speaking at presentations and lectures.

Continued work on pattern recognition in mobile construction machine applications. Work was mainly done in Matlab, Java, Kotlin and C/C++. Ported pattern recognition software from Matlab to Android plattform. The pattern recognition was carried out on time series data, and was subject to hardware constraints of running on a local machine and being able to do live recognition. Recognition algorithm was validated against existing measurement data.

Worked with fundraising and external contacts for OpenHack Gothenburg. Most contact was with external tech companies, but also had contact with government agencies and other NGOs.Also helped with all parts of the event during the hackathon.

Created simulation model for a KERS in Simulink and Matlab to be integrated in larger machine model. Collected data from wheel loader and did model verification against this data. The model was done in a modular fashion where, for example, new gas behavior approximations could easily be substituted and updated.

Analysis and improvement of in-house pattern recognition software. Also did live, on-site monitoring and measuring of wheel loader sensors at quarry. -using Matlab for data processing and pattern recognition.-manually setting up measurement tools on machine.-using eDAQ and SoMat Infield for visual inspection of patterns and checking pattern recognition accuracy.The goal for the summer was to evaluate the robustness of the software developed to detect and classify wheel loader drive patterns. To verify the classification several days of measurements were made in a quarry during regular day to day operation. Several improvements were tested and gave both a precision and recall over 90 %. Some of the original design decisions where identified to give unnecessary time complexity and were corrected to optimize.

Test of low latency, high resolution video over commercial WiFi, also tested remote controlling over WiFi and designed a remote control with basic safety implementations.- Used C++ and OpenCV to send and receive video data over UDP and WiFi.- Used C++ to send and receive inputs from a custom controller over UDP.- Implemented heartbeat and signal strength monitoring for basic safety in case of bad reception.The aim was to try the idea of a low latency (<100 ms) and high resolution, live video feed over WiFi. I could get a <200 ms latency with limited hardware, however to achieve <100 ms latency video quality had to be sacrificed.

Design and implementation of quick and simple remote control solution of construction machinery. - Mounted electronically actuated pilot valves on compact excavator.- Designed and constructed control electronics.- Interfaced a commercial RC transmitter and receiver to the control electronics.The result offered great precision and one could easily do precision tasks from outside the cabin with a greater view of the digging area and very fine control, for example could a pen on a string easily be placed in a bottle by a inexperienced operator.
