Hired staff and created the financial, regional and operations and maintenance infrastructure.-Built Leasing Administration department. Selected application; directed creation of processes for tracking terms and conditions; established parameters of "must haves" for consistency of terms when negotiating with landlords. This enabled systematic management that scaled as business grew to over 200 lease records today.-As Property Services grew from a few sites (about 450K sf) to over 150 sites (about 2.5M sf), formed a regional management and operating structure to create proximity to the customer, thus, improving responsiveness.-Restructured the adult hospital's Engineering & Maintenance department to an operating structure for 40-50 engineers to report to five assistant chief engineers rather than reporting to one chief engineer. This created a functional management organization. And, streamlined the positions to eliminate titles inconsistent with industry practices. This created a clear hiring and training structure. -Established the Engineering Project Office department to manage million-dollar capital projects to replace major equipment in the adult hospital. Created the positions; hired staff; set up the financial infrastructure; and built a five-year capital plan that would begin to address multi-year deferred maintenance for an improved patient and employee experience. -Implemented a computerized maintenance management system: selected the consultant; managed the request for proposal process; selected the application; managed the installation; communicated to the organization; and hired the super user staff. This took the department from being paper based to being technology based that set the foundation for future expansion. -
