A graphic designer graduate commenced her amazing career in the 70's. Group Editors, known and renowned PR and Design Company, in Johannesburg, was a perfect introduction to the design industry. Designer, art director, head of the creative division and member of the board were positions held during my employment. Obtained experience internationally in South America and London.Founder and MD of Graphicor (Pty) Ltd, situated in Braamfontein, Johannesburg during the late 70's. The design company produced award winning projects for many blue-chip corporate companies, grew to one of South Africa's largest creative studios. Founded another successful design agency in 1993. The agency, M&D Graphic Design (Pty) Ltd, made its mark with outstanding creative solutions obtaining numerous awards for major corporate company’s annual reports and corporate communication. M&D was rebranded in the 2000’s affording clients a full marketing package covering the complete spectrum of offerings. The offerings included design communication and the full spectrum of marketing aids and activation, events, corporate brochures, branding, digital media, advertising and financial reports.During my close involvement with captains of industry, I have come to realize that creativity and design is a universal language imperative in every company no matter how small.Design is my passion and transferring knowledge is paramount. Treasured the 20-year involvement, as judge and patron of the annual Design Achiever Awards. Proud to have been the first South African woman elected as General Secretary on the Icograda Board, 1999-2001. (International Council of Graphic Design Associations) traveled round the globe to promote the importance of design, universally. Loved every moment, then and now.
