- Established density based method for enriching P. vivax infected reticulocytes from clinical isolates. - Developed a novel flow cytometry method for determining hemolysis dynamics within heterogeneous red cell populations. - Implemented strategy for obtaining robust transcriptomic data from low input RNAseq of ex vivo P. vivax.- Developed and characterized a novel RBC enzyme deficiency model using shRNA and CRISPR strategies in immortalized and primary CD34+ erythroid progenitors.- Collaborated with bioinformaticians, on project to transcriptionally profile clinical P. vivax samples.- Collaborated with vector biologists and liver biologists to better understand Plasmodium spp transmission. - Presented research at annual department seminars and international conferences- Supervised undergraduate and graduate rotation students- Wrote two successful grants: Bn10 and F32- Experienced writing both human subject (IRB) and animal (IACUC) protocols- Authored 8 publications (2 as lead author of primary research articles) in peer-reviewed journals.

- Optimized protein crystallization conditions
