Dr. Martha Compton, DVM, is a dynamic, experienced, and client-focused emergency and general practice veterinarian providing relief services. She currently travels to Alaska, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Texas for work and is open to new opportunities. Dr. Compton studied veterinary medicine at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine followed by a Small Animal Rotating Internship at Carolina Veterinary Specialists in Greensboro, North Carolina. She then expanded her experience as an emergency veterinarian before moving to providing full time relief services. She has over ten years of experience in human medicine (NREMT - Paramedic) and veterinary medicine providing efficient, effective and compassionate medical care in a variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings. She has experience providing low-to-no-cost veterinary care in under-served urban and remote rural communities. She also has training in disaster veterinary medicine caring for companion animals during natural disasters. This diverse professional background helps Dr. Compton provide the right care, at the right time, while being cognizant of the financial means of clients. As a result she is able to handle a heavy case load, maintain solid production numbers, and ensure high client satisfaction. Dr. Compton's unique experience has also equipped her with the skills to seamlessly adapt to new environments and systems, making her an effective relief veterinarian for illness, vacation, or maternity coverage.
