Manage the official evaluation of the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) Teacher Incentive Fund (TIF) federal grant to examine the implementation and impact of TIF funded activities on educators, administrators, and students.

• Developed, managed, and executed ABC local secondary education policy initiatives (i.e. teacher effectiveness, school transformation, parent engagement, and English Learners) to implement systems change and advance quality education in Los Angeles. • Analyzed local, state and federal education policies impacting ABC priority areas to expand and strengthen policy agenda. • Collaborated with ABC policy director to align local policy initiatives and campaigns to state legislative agenda. • Participated in local and state coalitions to implement coordinated education policy advocacy campaigns, including the development of outreach community campaigns to promote ABC secondary education policies and practices. • Organized community meetings, events and forums to promote awareness among civic leaders, policy makers, and parents and families regarding the state of education in Los Angeles. • Supported ABC fundraising efforts through: identification of grant opportunities; grant support and development; and relationship building with existing funders.

• Developed, managed and executed ABC health and wellness initiatives to implement policy, systems, and environmental changes to improve access and equity to nutrition and physical activity resources in low-income communities of color in Los Angeles. • Analyzed federal, state and local health and wellness policies to expand and strengthen ABC policy agenda.• Managed and executed public and private grants, including the federally funded J.U.G.A.R (Joint Use Generating Activity & Recreation) initiative focused on strengthening joint use policies and procedures within the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). Initiative received local, state, and national recognition as a model practice. • Convened a coalition of community-based organizations (CBOs), regional agencies, civic leaders and policy makers to implement ABC’s health policy agenda within LAUSD. Due to collaborative efforts, district-wide policy tools were developed, including: Healthy Spaces webpage housed within the Facilities Division website; 2011 Principal’s Handbook; and a policy bulletin. • Convened and participated in local and state coalitions to implement coordinated health advocacy campaigns.
