I am a writer and sexual health expert with both marketing and PR experience. I write about sexual behavior, contraception, STDs, and my efforts to raise sexually healthy girls in a sexually unhealthy world. My articles explain new research, provide commentary on current events, analyze social trends, and bust myths. My work has appeared on rewire.news, thebody.com, bedsider.org, and other media outlets. I'm the the co-author, with Pepper Schwartz, of the book 50 Great Myths of Human Sexuality, and I recently launched the weekly newsletter, Sex On Wednesday. I work with brands, agencies, and non-for-profit clients to create original website content, white papers, pamphlets, fact sheets, and infographics focused on all aspects of sexuality and sexual health. Brand clients included Trojan, First Response, and Hims/Hers. Agency clients include Edelman, Bioscience, Heartbeat, and Diversity Health. Not-for-profit clients including Advocates for Youth, American Sexual Health Association, National Coalition of STD Directors, Planned Parenthood Federation of American, and SIECUS. I also work with Kempner Communications, a high-end strategic communications consultancy that specializes in creative and corporate communications, and reputation and brand management (and was founded by my sister). As the Director of Content, I work with clients to strategize, write, and place thought leadership pieces to help them be seen as industry leaders. Pieces I've ghostwritten have appeared in Forbes, AdAge, The Drum, and other advertising and marketing publications. I have a Master’s Degree in Health Education/Human Sexuality from NYU and graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts. I live in New Jersey with my husband, two school-aged daughters, and a really big poodle named Asparagus (we call him Gus).
