CurrentMission: To help children that lost a military or veteran parent find hope and healing through competitive gaming. Background: 100,000 children have lost a parent that serve in the military since 9/11.It is the price military children pay for having their parent serve. These kids are at risk for PTSD, suicidal thoughts, school disengagement, low self worth and the list goes on. 85% of military kids are gamers, and many gamed with their parent while separated during training and deployments. Now that their gaming partner is gone Gold Star Gamers steps in to serve the kids that have given so much. We offer gaming set ups for kids in need, dream events where the kids get to be the main event at a pro match weekend, and camps where the kids get to play with military gamers that served alongside their parent. Our events are moving and impactful for the children and surviving families we serve.
