About Martha Martin

I am a creative, strategic, and entrepreneurial professional with a deep connection to nature. I am passionate about using my skills and experience to create positive change in the world and help people and organizations achieve their goals.I am a dedicated advocate for sustainable and inclusive development. I co-founded The Fourth Sector Group (4SG), a global NGO that is leading the charge in building a more equitable and resilient economy. At 4SG, I worked closely with a diverse group of leading experts and stakeholders to drive the development of the fourth sector, a growing sector of the economy that bridges the gap between the public, private, and social sectors, and harness the power of entrepreneurship and innovation for social and environmental benefit.I served as Senior Advisor to the CEO, and was deeply involved in several initiatives focused on creating a more socially and environmentally sustainable economy, including the B4B Coalition (buyforbenefit.com), a trillion-dollar movement to transform global value chains, The Fourth Sector Development Initiative (FSDI), a collaboration of public, private, and philanthropic institutions, and a global CEO letter, which was featured in The Financial Times, and signed by a coalition of fourteen CEOs representing a combined annual revenue of over $100 billion USD. I have received notable awards for both my artistic and leadership capabilities, including two Letters of Recognition from The Department of Navy for Outstanding Support to their programs. My design work has been published both locally and internationally including in The Financial Times, Flaunt Magazine, SLAMM, No Cover, San Francisco Bay Guardian, Las Vegas Weekly, and Album Network. My true passion is as a fine artist, and I have received several awards throughout life for my work, including first place at a State-level competition during high school, and first place during San Diego's Gaslamp Artist Showcase in 2009. My piece, "An Extraordinary Sunday," has been featured on the cover of San Diego's CityBeat magazine, as well as in The Reader and Pacific Magazine. More recently, I have been exploring the intersection of emerging scientific discoveries about plant intelligence, spirituality, philosophy, and humanity's relationship with and impact upon nature in my new series “HumanNature." (HumanNatureart.art)I am always excited to bring my unique skill set and passion for positive change to a new challenge and make a meaningful impact in the world.
