Dr. Martha Moore has more than 40 years of experience in toxicology with a focus on genetic damage from chemicals and the application of scientific data for regulatory decision making. She is an internationally recognized expert in the use of genetic toxicology data in both chemical hazard identification and mode-of-action, particularly as they relate to cancer risk assessment. Dr. Moore provides consulting expertise in the area of genetic toxicology, product safety/hazard identification of a variety of products from pharmaceuticals to pesticides and industrial chemicals, and risk assessment, including mode of action evaluation. Dr. Moore previously spent 23 years working with the USEPA in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, 13 years with the National Center for Toxicological Research (NCTR), US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) in Jefferson, Arkansas, and 6 years at Ramboll US Corporation, Little Rock, Arkansas. At USFDA, she was a credentialed member of the Senior Biomedical Research Service, an award reserved for select USFDA scientists. Dr. Moore has served on numerous USEPA and USFDA committees, along with other governmental agency and nongovernmental advisory groups, both national and international. She is an author/contributor to USEPA, USFDA and OECD test guidelines. Dr. Moore has trained FDA reviewers in the area of genetic toxicology data interpretation. She is a member of the Society of Toxicology, the Environmental Mutagenesis and Genomics Society, the Genetic Toxicology Association (GTA) and the European Environmental Mutagen Society. She is the recipient of the GTA 2011 Excellence in Science Award and has published more than 130 journal articles, papers and chapters.
