I've grown up in museums and have been involved in them since I was thirteen years old. I cannot imagine my life without museums. I served as a student archives worker at the missionary church archives while I attended Bethel College. Where I primarily inputted items into FileMaker to help catalog the collection. Many times, I was left to manage the archives by myself as my supervisor was on medical leave for 2 years while I worked there. I am the Heritage Collection Manager at the Nappanee Public Library where I take care of the Evelyn Lehman Culp Heritage Collection. I care for the collection, enter items into PastPerfect, design and install new exhibits, work to acquire new items for the Collection, and research and present new and recurring programs. I received the Nappanee Historic Preservation Historic Educator award in May 2014 for my work with the Evelyn Lehman Culp Heritage Collection.I love my work as the Library Skills Trainer. Over the years, I have developed a passion for people and working with them on various things. The most exciting thing is the training modules that I have been able to create and develop so that the staff of the Nappanee Public Library can be the best they can be.
