• Researching innovative solutions to improve urban sustainability and on how to develop and improve frameworks for researching urban sustainability solutions
• Drafting a white paper for the intent of publication regarding the above research topics
• Conducting stakeholder interviews

• Participated in a paid internship with the EPA affiliate for Gwinnett County, Georgia that involved the following:
• Researching how communities develop and track progress on metrics for sustainability, including STARS
• Conducting water quality monitoring activities and assisting in volunteer water quality monitoring training
• Developing a pamphlet on proper household hazardous waste disposal

• Recipient of the Grand Challenge Scholars Program Research stipend of $1500 to support student research under the guidance of Dr. T Ganesh. Efforts included:
• Researching on biosand filter technology and other sustainable water filtration systems for rural and low-income areas
