Nelson Family Fund of the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region, I focus on identifying potential grantee partners, acting as a liaison for efforts in the area, and supporting current grantees in Brown and surrounding counties in Northeast Wisconsin. SottoVoce Strategies works behind-the-scenes with foundation and not-for profit leadership to help advance their strategic initiatives and passions. Connections for Mental Wellness is a community-wide collective impact initiative in Brown County, Wisconsin. The initiative brings together and facilitates diverse groups of stakeholders to address community issues related to mental health and wellness, focusing on issues that cannot be solved by one organization alone.As the first executive director and a practitioner of collective impact, Martha helped the community stakeholders create a vision and action plan for the community, resulting in a major 5-year grant from the Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Endowment at the Medical College of Wisconsin. The grant will help support the implementation and evaluation of the community vision. In addition, she built relationships with a variety of community sectors and stakeholders, bringing diverse voices and perspectives to all aspects of the work and helped secure support for school-based mental health provision in Brown County schools.

Green Bay Wisconsin Area

The Greater Green Bay Community Foundation is a nonprofit, philanthropic organization that inspires giving and engages the community in Northeast Wisconsin by providing effective giving tools to donors, impactful grants to nonprofit organizations, and collaborative leadership around critical community initiatives.Primary responsibilities included development and management of multiple large-scale, collaborative granting programs and other discretionary granting processes; assisting individual, family, corporate and foundation donors; acting as primary contact for several corporate giving programs; counseling nonprofit organizations on program development, outcome and measurement practices, grantwriting, and collaborative opportunities; and facilitation of local grantmakers network. In addition, she led the GGBCF's effort to be named a nationally certified community foundation by the Council on Foundations and the internal strategic planning process of the GGBCF Board of Directors.
