New clinic model drove 2X the shopping trips per household. HDTV - Developed ‘credibility and quality’ metrics in electronics (HDTV, cell phones, and computers) to understand perceptions/misperceptions of company’s electronics offerings against competitors. Data used to develop award-winning ad campaigns and change customer perceptions, leading to 10% annual increase in sales. WIRELESS - Conducted large quantitative study to understand drivers and barriers of purchasing cell phones at Walmart. Prototyped ‘store within a store in five Supercenters. Three of those stores delivered 200%, 300% and 400% increase in sales in 12 months. TIME BUDGET - Delivered qualitative and quantitative understanding of the importance of shopper’s ‘time budget’ when visiting stores. Shaving 30 seconds from customers’ stock-up trips could deliver an additional $16B in annual sales.
