Martha Gómez, M.S. is a Client Services Coordinator at Choose Chicago at Choose Chicago. Colleagues describe them as "I met Martha through an event hosted by Students Together Are Reaching Success, or also known as STARS, which is a program at DePaul University which offers a mentor to incoming freshmen and transfer students. Typically, mentors reach out to their mentees who are assigned to them through this program and make special bonds with them, become an aid to ensure their academic success, a resource for guidance, and in many cases, they become close friends. Martha holds the position of Lead Peer Mentor which also holds her responsible for giving presentations on and off-campus and planning, hosting, and assisting in academic or social events and programs. Martha has consistently demonstrated many skills such as leadership, time management, responsibility, and teamwork. This can be seen by the various activities and organizations that Martha takes part in here at DePaul University. Leadership positions Martha has held while at her time at DePaul include Lead Peer Mentor for the STARS Program, President of her Sorority, Gamma Phi Omega, as well as the Recruitment chair for Gamma Phi Omega as well. Some notable accomplishments of hers include hosting a career fair for the College of Communication and Digital Media and a College 101 event for STARS to prepare incoming freshmen for the workload they could face.
