CurrentAdminister all aspects of SHPO operations, organization and programs, including budget oversight, strategic planning, hiring and directing staff. Leader in statewide community and economic planning, placemaking and development initiatives. Manage SHPO community and economic development incentive programs to enhance buildings and sites throughout the state including the new State Historic Preservation Tax Credit (2022). Lead SHPO community development and outreach efforts and promote preservation initiatives. Develop strategic partnerships with a variety of stakeholder groups including Tribes, local, state and federal governments and the development community. Directed SHPO regulatory programs and processes for over two decades, impacting billions of investment in Michigan. Assume duties of State Historic Preservation Officer in the event of absence or vacancy and ensure continuous, consistent and effective operations.
