As a first generation and non traditional student, I value people's ability to learn and grow. I have maintained academic excellence while raising a family. Being a student while raising two children has been one of the many challenges I had to face but has been a motivation to continue to pursuing my dreams. Through my return to school, I developed a newfound love for learning and growth. As a student, I was able to recognize my strengths as a creative writer. I was a College of Lake County finalist in the 2020 Skyway Writers Contest. I have published work in Prairie Voices Literary Magazine. I love to share people's stories through my writing.I welcome challenges with open arms because I know there's a lesson to be learned at all times.
