I am a dedicated professional with a diverse background in education, public health, and community engagement. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Child Development from the University of La Verne, balancing my studies while raising two children and working for the WIC program for eight years. During my time at WIC, I gained valuable experience in public health, outreach, and nutrition education, became a certified breastfeeding consultant, and was promoted to para-administrator of the federal program, where I managed a WIC office. After earning my degree, I served in education for 15 years. Following the COVID pandemic, I felt driven to transition back to public health, motivated by a passion for community support and outreach. My outreach work with medical clinics to increase Medicare enrollments, followed by roles in network development and broker engagement, allowed me to merge my skills in teaching, communication, and relationship-building. Today, as a Broker Relations Manager for Blue Zones Health, I bring a unique and creative perspective, using my ability to educate and connect with diverse communities to foster strong relationships and recognize excellence within the network.
