MyStore / MyStore Xpress (www.mystore.mx) is an eCommerce platform for medium and small companies. Consistently ranked amongst the top 10 eCommerce platforms in Mexico, and and the no. 1 developed by Mexicans. MyStore has helped more than 4,000 companies to start selling online.My role in MyStore has evolved with the company. It all started with an idea, which later became a startup, then a real profitable company which lead to what it is today: an eCommerce platform that allows people and companies - without any technical or programming skills - to set up their own virtual store in less than 15 minutes.I've been involved in every aspect of MyStore life. Project management, strategy planning, web design, development, programming, marketing, negotiations... When you start a business from scratch, you have to do it all!Now that MyStore is a solid and stable company, my main role is as Associate Director. Although, you know, old habits always come back, so I like to stick my nose in everything. I might even answer a random client's phone call here and there, just to make sure they are happy with our services. (Yeah, I also do some mystery shopping in my own company).Main achievements:- Satisfied costumers: 91% - PayPal partners for 6 years now- Implemented eCommerce platform for Yellow Pages (Carso Group) based on MyStore /MyStore Xpress- Entrepreneur Magazine eCommerce added value during 2 years.- First virtual store online software to be sold as a package in Sams Club, Costco, Office Max and Office Depot.- First eCommerce platform for vitual stores developed in Mexico.Technical aspects:- HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, Bootstrap, Ajax, Jquery.- Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Adobe Suite, 3D Modeling (Blender).

I really like to start projects. This company wanted to implement not only a website or an online business, but a whole funcional Intranet and Extranet for their employees and suppliers. I was in charge of this project, defining the architecture of the solution, leading the team of programmers and designers, gathering information, managing the project and setting it up online. Once it was up and running, I left to begin my next and most important project: MyStore Xpress.

Back when PayPal was being born and Amazon was selling only books, I was the ecommerce manager of one the first online businesses in Mexico. CSS was barely used, implementing a VPOS was harder than swimming an ocean, and all the coding was done in ASP (thank God for PHP later). Creating images with transparent backgrounds was best to avoid and finding a good DBA was an oddity.With all and all, we created 2 huge super functional virtual stores for home appliances with more than 40,000 products each.
