Employee Relations Consultant
CurrentDeliver ER solutions through targeted human capital consultation and HR Shared Services partnership to meet overall business objectives. In partnership with the HRBPs and LOB, the ER team will manage administrative costs through averting unemployment charges, EEOC claims, and other litigation activity. Remain educated on Bank policies, guidelines and State/Federal/Local employment laws and act a SME (subject matter expert) for HR training content and program development, and recommend interventions/learning forums to address HR/ER needs/gaps in conjunction/collaboration with the HRBPs.Through appropriate fact finding determine and distinguish complexity of cases and determine escalation and next steps towards addressing and resolution within appropriate and effective response times. Research and analyze all ER related information within the region to outline trends and recommendations and mitigate legal exposure to the organization. Utilize various reporting tools and data collection methods (applications and systems). Assure tracking/documentation is in accordance with established HR reporting. Provide effective conflict resolution practices in partnership with the HRBPs and within the various regionally located lines of business. Provide expert consultation on individual ER cases, progressive discipline, complaint management and complex investigations by mitigating risk through sound fact finding and other tactical mediation measures. Mitigate risk by ensuring compliance with best practices, Bank policies and all Federal, State and local employment laws and regulations.
