As a Philanthropy Executive at Covenant Living, I am a member of our Executive Team, responsible for all charitable giving. I enjoy partnering with regional stakeholders and C-Suite leaders to solidify our corporate philanthropic vision and create/implement a corporate philanthropic strategy. Covenant Living provides a broad range of resources, services, and programs to enhance individual and community wellness for seniors. We collaborate with residents and families to achieve the best possible results. I have the patience to achieve desired results.Creating strategy and understanding how to get things done, I have been a contributing grant writer on the state and national level, and responsible for creating and writing external marketing pieces and promotions. Additionally, I have served as a leader in the development and implementation of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives for two professional fundraising organizations. My early business career experience includes leadership positions in banking and sales leveraging finance, human resources, marketing, sales and operations. Recognized for consistently exceeding performance objectives, I have experience navigating change and creating innovative solutions to meet organizational and donor’s needs. I am known for building a culture of collaborative philanthropy as a team player and a trusted member of senior leadership.Prior to joining Covenant Living, I led fundraising efforts at History Theatre which funded the creation and development of new and existing educational and performance arts productions that share MN's past and the diverse American experiences. Previously, at Sarah’s… an Oasis for Women I led development efforts that funded a home and programs that provided safety, dignity, and healing for homeless women.Committed to giving back to my community and mentoring the next generation of leaders, I serve on the boards of the Minnesota Gift Planners Association and the Minnesota Grants Professionals Association. Fun facts - I enjoy cooking, traveling, college sports and gathering with family and friends. I am known for my quirky expressions, my ability to find humor in almost any situation, and rumor has it I make the best "southern" BBQ in Minnesota.
