• Methodology to manage the environmental liabilities within Philips Lighting.Bridging the gap between technical experts and financial management with strict financial requirements like IFRS. I transferred it from incompliant towards best in class by developing a methodology and implementing it! Starting with interviewing the technical experts as well as the financial people I was able to classify the different issues, label them. With an Excel template the complex financial consequences were calculated according the requirements. By talking to the technical experts as well as the divestment team I was able to classify the 150.000 pages in logic buckets. Potential buyers complimented the fast and adequate response that was possible during Q&A thanks to the structure that I had created.• Supplier selection model A supplier selection model was developed by me together with technical experts and purchasing to facilitate strategic sourcing decisions. I mapped the projects, suppliers and the vital characteristics in Excel and then I designed the graphs in such a way that during combined meetings the audience played with assumptions so that the sensitivity instantly was visible in graphs. • Sales forecastingCRM Dynamics was in use already for some years by the sales team, but the sales forecasts were done on a piece of paper. I managed to redesign the data structure within CRM so that some essential fields were added, and the rest was reduced to the vital few. I designed a keen but straightforward Excel file so that with a push on the refresh button the sales team got the updated tables and graphs of their forecasts. Interlinkage with SAP now also OK.• Capacity planningIn the Mechanization department of 600 people spread over the globe the rough-cut capacity planning was based on local project overviews. The data generated by the sales people in CRM Dynamics was not used. I mapped the technical competences into CRM Dynamics by adding a few vital fields. And I designed an Excel file so that with a push on the refresh button the group leaders got the updated tables and graphs of their capacity forecasts. This enabled fact based tough decision making by management.• Integral Master PlanningDuring the preparation of the Philips TV Business Cut-over a lot of issues were encountered. And then I got involved to set up an integral plan. Talking to involved people of e.g. Business Management, SAP-experts, IT-people, Logistics, Finance experts I was able to map the dependencies. I developed a sign-off procedure for the milestones during the cut-over weekend and took care of communicating these milestones during the cut-over to the teams over the globe. For the first time such a big cutover was done timely and successfully. E.g. Logistics cooling down and restart went smooth in all regions. Financial Month End Closing (MEC) also in time.
