About Martien Valent

When I go for my morning run, I can tell you upfront that I will certainly complete 4 KM in half an hour and probably 4,25 KM while challenging myself to a level that just keeps me at a sustainable pace. Sometimes I'll need to make a quick stop to tie a loose shoelace, or an open bridge will force me to quickly replan my route but it never brings me under that 4 KM. After that fresh start of my day, I'll open my laptop and put these same principles to practice on a larger scale and often with much more complex challenges. My biggest gratification in work is to always find the best approach to get and stay at this sustainable pace with every team, for every client, which is a never-ending challenge as no two teams or clients are the same.
