Leiding geven (coachen, begeleiden, motiveren, evalueren en afstemmen met collega DDM-ers) aan de onder hem/haar opererende medewerkers:Functioneel leidinggeven aan de de-icing medewerkers op de Dag van Uitvoering;Zorgdragen voor naleving van ATW (arbeidstijdenwet), de inzet van gekwalificeerd personeel en het bijbrengen van safety awareness.Bepalen van de de-icing capaciteit:- Inzet van de juiste aantallen mensen en middelen zodat kan worden voldaan aan de de-icing behoefte binnen het KLM netwerk en de klanten (KIPS-members) van KLM De-icing (SPL/KW);- Wanneer de de-icing behoefte de maximale inzet van mensen en middelen overtreft het maken en uitvoeren van een plan. Dit in samenwerking met DFM HCC om operationele impact voor het KLM-netwerk zoveel mogelijk te voorkomen/beheersen;- Afstemmen en bijstellen van de De-icing Capacity Level (DCL)-fase in overleg met DFM HCC, DMO/DMF OCC en KNMI;- Afstemmen en bijstellen van de De-icing Flow Expectation (DFE) in overleg met DFM HCC en DMO/DMF OCC;- Continue monitoren of de afgegeven/afgesproken DFE overeenkomt met de werkelijkheid. Op basis van deze informatie directe bijsturing naar DFM HCC zodat de in- en outboundcapaciteit van Schiphol kan worden aangepast;- Informeren de-icing medewerkers over DCL-fases en veranderingen via sms en via de de-icing website;- Vaststellen of preventieve anti-icing zal plaatsvinden in de nacht.

Removing and protecting aircrafts against snow and ice. During winter operations, together with 4 operators I take care of a correct and save treatment. Beside communicating with the operators, I also communicate with the flightdeck of the aircraft to give them information/instructions via radio or electronical messageboard. As an Iceman Begeleider I attend new be Iceman.

All specified duties as in Restricted Flight Operation Officer, additionally including- Weight and balance services are provided for the whole of KLM fleet and all foreign carriers handled by KLM.- Providing support and specialized knowledge during any system disruption or users problems. -Assisting the ramp officer when any load technical problems arise. All this to keep disruptions to a minimum.- Perform 24 hours capacity planning for KLM.- Provide loading information in case of any incident report or calamity- Apply configuration changes and or create new flights when necessary- Collect and compile all documentation necessary for the flight file and reporting of all relevant information, documentation or incidents of a flight and or payload to the departments concerned.- Provide detailed information to stations concerning their flights and or payload

Load planning for all types of smaller aircraft up to and including the B777. Making optimum use of the aircraft holds to achieve optimum balance, taking into consideration en-route stops and maximum payload. Aiming for maximum payload and optimum use of weight and/or balance at the highest profit. It entails further more:- Flight tracking inbound and outbound.- Retrieving of flight information such as passenger count, baggage amount, cargo and mail for zero fuel calculation, this information is required for fuel calculation for the respective flights.- Optimum division of payload over available holds using AlteaFM or manually, so that optimum balance can be achieved (fuel efficiency) and extra load/offload activities in en-route stations can be avoided or kept to a minimum.- Cross checking of payload for live animals, valuables, or other special cargo, checking of the dangerous goods matrix to avoid mix loading conflict.- Constant tracking of payload development and maintaining communication with the ground handling staff for load adjustments.- When necessary being able to make decisions concerning payload- Issuing loading instructions to loading personnel- Issuing off-loading instruction for critical flights- Maintaining continuous contact during the aircraft handling process with gate agent, ramp officer and outstations (liaison officer)- Processing of latest actual information, performance of final checks and issuance of the loadsheet.- When necessary perform weight and balance activities in outstations, when no system is available or when in lack of licensed personnel.- Provide weight and balance services for all European foreign carriers conform to their specifications.
