I worked as quality engineer at the the development department of OptimalJ. OptimalJ is Model Driven Architecture (MDA) code generation tool for J2EE based web applications. Testing OptimalJ was a challenging job, and actually it was more modelling and programming than black-box testing. We developed automatic GUI tests with Java, Junit and Ant scripts. Also we developed simple J2EE aplications to test the generated models. I acquired the Java Sun Programming Certificate. I created test plans, executed those test plans together with my college testers and automated the tests. Data Distilleries was a company that delivered a real-time analysis and data mining tool, which was used in marketing campaigns to predict customer behavior. For this company I founded the Quality Assurance department. The main objectives of the department were the planning and execution of system and acceptance tests, as well the improvement of the development process. The size of the QA department varied between 3 and 11 people. I managed the department.Beside the management, I set up the test environment on different Windows and Unix environments, helped to set up automatic testing, created test plans, managed the system tests and reported the results to the management.
