In my role as external (tax) advisor I navigated Accucoms through the restart in 2014 when the former CEO acquired it back from the trustee due to the Swets bankruptcy. One year later I joined Accucoms as finance manager to develop a global strategy, manage all payroll matters, set financial standards, establish effective management reporting, draft contracts, take care of (international) tax planning, act as sparring partner to the Board and work with external advisors to attain necessary information to make informed decisions.

Royal Swets & Zeitlinger was a group of information services companies operating worldwide as an intermediary between publishers and libraries. Swets provided overall management and processing of subscriptions to scientific and professional printed and electronic publications for libraries. I worked here in a role what nowadays is referred to as financial controller, responsible for the Swets subsidiaries in the US, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg.The Swets companies were progressively declared bankrupt between September and November 2014 due to declining revenues in relation to the high-debt structure of the parent entity.
