With public health as my core interest I have developed my career in different roles and settings. I have worked at universities, local government and funding organisations with the leading theme 'creating societal impact'. With a solid basis as researcher I developed my expertise in roles as projectmanager, (policy) adviser and manager. International policy is a specific interest with an emphasis on building partnerships with funders who are interested in achieving scientific and societal impact in a rapidly changing world.These different roles and organisations have helped me to develop my leadership in my current position as director of VeiligheidNL. This organisation focuses on injury prevention. We gather data about injury prevention, conduct in-depth research into causes and solutions to prevent injuries and develop interventions to create (societal) impact.
