As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and the Program Supervisor for HomeSafe's East Team, I lead and support the Healthy Beginnings Program, which provides preventive and early intervention services to families with children under the age of five. I have over six years of experience in providing psychotherapy to children and adolescents in various settings, such as residential treatment centers, community agencies, and home-based sessions. I use evidence-based approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Applied Behavior Analysis, to help my clients cope with trauma, anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues. I also facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, as well as Prepare/Enrich workshops for couples.I am passionate about promoting mental health awareness and advocacy in my community, and I have participated in several outreach and education initiatives, such as the Mental Health Awareness Month, the Suicide Prevention Week, and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Walk. I am also a member of the American Counseling Association and the Florida Mental Health Counselors Association.I hold a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling/Counselor from Palm Beach Atlantic University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Minor in Sociology from Florida International University. I am certified as a Registered Behavior Technician, a CPR/BLS/AED and First Aid provider, a Prepare/Enrich Facilitator and am EMDR Trained.
