About Martika Taylor
I am currently working as a Trial Manager for the Clinical Research Facility within the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. This role involves co-ordinating clinical trials under leadership direction of the Principal Investigator and the senior leadership team, contributing to the development and management of the protocol, budget, timeline and quality guidelines, providing a primary point of contact for the Sponsor, and compiling and driving documentation for assigned projects, as well as ensuring the accuracy and quality of regulatory data including ethics submissions.My previous role was as a Senior Safety Scientist for pharmacovigilance and regulatory service provider Panacea. This role was primarily risk management and signal management focused with an emphasis on signal detection, PBRER and RMP writing, however it was also varied with a wide range of PV activities such as literature searching, ICSR database entry and QC, and regulatory intelligence monitoring.I previously worked as a Clinical Safety Coordinator for a mid-sized Clinical Research Organisation called Medpace. This role involved full processing of SAEs and case QC, coordinating safety surveillance activities, and preparation of clinical safety documents including regulatory reports. This work encompassed safety services for a variety of clinical trial products and medical device studies.In 2014 I completed a BSc Pharmacology sandwich degree at the University of Hertfordshire receiving an overall 1st. My final year modules included Pharmacology & Therapeutics, Neurophysiology, the Translation of Science into Medicine, and a final year project dissertation. My project dissertation was entitled 'The Effects of PPARβ/δ Agonist on Bronchi Contractions from STZ rats' and involved designing and carrying out a laboratory project for 5 weeks.I have previous scientific experience in the medical device industry after completing a year-long placement with a global company as a medical laboratory scientist. I also have one years previous experience in a customer service based role as an administrative assistant at my university's students' union.
