Another change of role with Sir Robert McAlpine I’m now Service Manager for the Special Projects Team working on our more interesting projects in London. Previously I have carried out a number of engineering roles within the company mostly related to the installation and commissioning of mechanical and electrical services with in construction projects. However the actual roles vary from the; planning, installation and switching of High Voltage system for large industrial clients; arranging the installation of feature lighting within the main staircase of a grade 1 listed building, to getting a water to a sub-station workshop in the middle of a wind farm in Ireland. There has also been time working in the black arts of Information Technology which was interesting as well as educational.

Four year technical apprenticeship specialising in marine air conditioning and ventilation. With training in all aspects of the business form basic fabrication and installation to cost estimation, detail design and fabrication drawings through to commissioning.
