Als Authoriteiten Coordinator binnen KH Engineering ben ik het aanspreekpunt voor Pressure Equipment Directive (PED - 97/23/EC), Warenwetbesluit drukapparatuur (WBDA) en Praktijkregels drukapparatuur (PRDA) gerelateerde opdrachten en vragen. Werkzaamheden hieromtrent bestaan uit het stroomlijnen van de (aan)vragen en opdrachten van klanten om deze vervolgens efficiënt binnen de organisatie uit te zetten. Doel hiervan is om de beoordelingspakketten welke naar een Notified Body (NoBo) opgeleverd dienen te worden, te laten samenstellen en te begeleiden. Aan de hand van deze pakketten kan de NoBo zich overtuigen dat de veiligheid van het ontworpen systeem intrinsiek en daarmee adequaat is gewaarborgd. Vervolgens wordt een Design Appraisal Document afgegeven.Het indienen van beoordelingspakketten volgt mede uit de engineeringswerkzaamheden welke benodigd zijn voor het specifieke project, bijvoorbeeld bij het ontwerp van installaties met onderandere zwaar geclassificeerde drukapparatuur.De situatie komt ook voor dat het andersom is, dus dat er engineeringswerkzaamheden benodigd zijn volgend uit een plicht drukapparatuur in te dienen, zoals volgend op het herbeoordelen van bestaande drukapparatuur.

Asset integrity assessment of the terminal pipelines dealing and providing implementation of all within the European and National applicable laws and rules. With the completion of this project the terminal pipelines will be up to standard, have a license to operate and will be classified, registrated and documented according Dutch mandatory law. From that point all data and documents will be used for future Asset integrity management and maintenance.This project is my main goal within the larger terminal upgrade project. But for all different kind of project within this project I am available as an advisor. Also I am participating in subprojects for developing:- safeguarding related documents;- pipe specifications;- key documents;- etc.

Added to the project as a Project Engineer due to the facts of being committed to the project from the very start, being a knowledge and facts oracle and an overviewing factor for all subprojects within the TOP project.

Graduation project at ErasmusMC for the Daniël den Hoed clinic. The project involved monitoring hypodermic bloodstream activity during non-invasive (skin) cancer treatment by the use of light emitted from a laser.The first challenge to deal with was to develop a system of lenses to create a five (5) to six (6) centimeter wide dot of laser light with an uniform intensity over a defined distance. This system of lenses had to be usable for non-invasive (skin) cancer treatment by Photo Dynamic Therapy (PDT). This treatment was and is provided by the dermatology department of the EramusMC.When the system of lenses was positively tested and integrated within the treatment system, the next challenge of the team was to develop a system of a camera, frame grabber and software to monitor hypodermic bloodstream activity during the non-invasive (skin) cancer treatment.The system uses the laser speckle effect (inteference of returning laser light) within the software to visualize the hypodermic bloodstream activity. This activity is a determining factor of the effectivity of the cancer treatment. A system was built from which the first results had to be analysed and interpretated for further development and use.

Traineeship at TNO TPD division sound and vibration (DGT). Study for the determination of the magnetic capabilities of different materials for possible use in active vibration dampners.Magnetic capabilities were determined by building rings of different materials. These rings were winded with a wire, these wires were connected to a resistance and an amplifier. With this hook-up the hysteris of the different materials could be determined which is characteristic for the magnetic capabilities of the different materials.
