Help manage and oversee the activities and initiatives in the area of global financial regulation for the IIF, which is comprised of more than 450 members in more than 70 countries. The IIF Regulatory Affairs Department undertakes advocacy and analytical activities on a broad spectrum of global financial regulatory topics, including banking, insurance, securities and asset management issues, and is in charge of analyzing policy developments and forming industry positions on all major regulatory policy issues affecting international financial institutions and leading the interaction between the industry and all major global regulatory and supervisory bodies including the Financial Stability Board, the Basel Committee, IOSCO, the IAIS, as well as leading national regulatorsHave the lead responsibility for the IIF's analysis on cyber security and non-financial risk issues, including global regulatory developments, operational resilience maturity, and the impact of cyber events on financial institutions and financial stability.

A member of the main decision making body for the EFIPPP, which is the first transnational information sharing mechanism ever established in the field of Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing. Created in 2017, EFIPPP provides an environment for cross-border cooperation and information exchange between Europol, competent authorities (including Financial Intelligence Units and Law Enforcement Agencies) and regulated financial service entities such as banks.Steering group duties include defining the priorities for every calendar year, approving new members and regulating the activities of the working groups.

Member of Financial Stability Board (FSB) industry advisory group tasked with helping develop a common format for incident reporting exchange (FIRE) aimed at achieving greater convergence in cyber incident reporting around the world.

Established in 2002 by the financial sector, the FSSCC coordinates critical infrastructure and homeland security activities within the financial services industry. Its 70+ members consist of financial trade associations, financial utilities, and other critical financial firms.

Member of the Cybersecurity and the Financial System (FinCyber) Advisory Group of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace

Day-to-day responsibility for a Brussels-based trade association comprised of Chairmen and Chief Executive Officers of more than 20 of the largest European banks and insurance companies. Oversaw and developed policy recommendations in the areas of prudential capital, cybersecurity, trade (TTIP), securitization, and infrastructure investment, among others.

Represented ING Group in Brussels and advocated to the EU insitutions on various policy and regulatory issues.

Advised the CEO and Executive Board on formulating the Group Public Relations strategy. Developed and executed strategic external communications, including quarterly and annual disclosure documents. Managed the annual report, annual general meeting of shareholders, corporate website, and quarterly corporate magazine.

Authored research papers for UNDP and the Institute of Public Policy Research (IPPR) on a range of subjects, including financial services, the global diamond industry, privatization of the electricity and water sectors and development economics.
