It'll go onto practically any background at any thickness.It's very lightweight nature makes it ideal for ceilings, put it on timber lath, 20mm thick in one coat and have it flat and polished and finished inside a week.

I led a small team developing new products for both building conservation and new-build. This involves as much looking forward at new technologies and research, as looking back and trying to understand past mixes and techniques. A very important part of what I do is maintaining a continuous dialogue with contractors, very few experts can understand the advantages and pitfalls of mixes and techniques quite as well as someone that does it day in day out and whose livelihood depends on it.
