With my B.Sc. Agric Food Science (Specialising in Meat Technology) degree, I have been in the food industry for the past 27 years specialising mainly in the meat processing industry(20 years), but also spent 3 years in the dairy industry and gained valuable experience of logistics and transport over these years. I have gained valuable experience in the fruit processing industry for the last 4 years. This expanded my knowledge not only as a meat processing specialist, but also in getting raw materials to the plant and also delivering quality end products to the customer.Over these years I gained vast knowledge of spices and ingredients including there applications as well as various packaging materials and applications and processing equipment, again expanding my overall knowledge of the food processing and packaging industry. I was involved and responsible for testing and developing various new products at the companies where I worked.I have a keen interest in technology and improving efficiency, quality and profitability and being in managerial positions most of my career I also gained valuable people skills which puts me in a position of not only technical and practical experience but also a greater understanding of the human factor and involvement in every process.My Moto is always :"Work smarter, Not harder" and I also understand the principal fact that your staff is your most valuable asset in any company, not your fixed assets, capital or expertise. Your staff make or break your company, product or service. I am a hands on practically minded person that leads and manages from the front.
