• Provided leadership and change management for a Data Science team of initially 15 people that has been newly created during a transformation.Built strategy and vision for this team in close collaboration with the global Data Science leadership team (DSLT) in a complex matrixenvironment. Established decision making mechanisms for setting priorities and allocating resources. Used coaching, creativity, and resilienceto attract and develop talent over 10 years.• Created the strategy and vision to develop pioneering digital biomarker tools at Roche and communicated strategy with internal stakeholders inearly clinical development and external stakeholders in academic institutions. Built project from scratch and brought first prototype to clinicaltrial. This ultimately lead to the creation of a new digital biomarker section with about 90 employees within pRED Informatics.• Initiated and drove project to differentiate new drugs in ophthalmology based on image analysis of optical coherence tomography images (OTC)from the retina of multiple clincial trials with several thousand individuals.• Successfully spearheaded Roche’s exploration of quantum computing for Pharma by establishing a tasks force, engaging with major industryplayers, defining Pharma relevant use cases which influenced the whole ecosystem, and participating in key quantum computing consortia.• Effectively led the hiring initiative for the Analytics Chapter in the Data and Analytics department, hiring 25 new talents during the last year, withearly feedback highlighting their productivity and excellence in hiring choices made.
