I founded GreyMatter with the core purpose of helping people with CVD (colour vision deficiency - otherwise known as colour blindness) to experience the world in real colour. We are the official partner of Enchroma in Southern Africa.

A passion project: In my spare time I'm helping build the brand of a premium collectibles startup, by bringing my expertise in design, brand development, digital marketing, customer and user experience.

Took the plunge and decided to start a small business with a partner. Predominantly brand and web design for a variety of clients from the Government sector to Corporates and small businesses. I acquired a wealth of experience in project management, client service, business development and finance (as you do as a small business owner and entrepreneur).

Exposure to big creative agency life. This was the direct marketing arm of The Agency and taught me some critical team and people skills beyond furthering my understanding of design and consumers.

Freelancing while I was looking for a permanent role at a creative agency after returning from abroad.

I was given the opportunity to work in the states, which I quickly jumped at. This was again an opportunity to grow my technical knowledge of design along with exposure to a completely different environment.

My very first job as a designer! I quickly realised how little I had learnt in design college about how to design in the 'real world'. This was a fantastic learning experience, and helped me develop my design skills and technical knowledge tremendously, both from a print and digital perspective.
