I developed the strategic plan for driving growth, working with the global leadership team and a consulting company to build a roadmap for execution in EMENA with the local leadership team. The true success of this shift lay in the sales results achieved in 2020 and 2021: 15% growth in the top line in 2021 and a 99% growth in EBITDA from 2020 (an increase in EBITDA from 6% to over 12% over the same period). During this growth phase, the business achieved record cash flows at 10% of turnover and paid record dividends since the company’s inception in 1964.• As Regional GMS I led the tissue business within the pulp and paper industry (the largest single business for the company globally) gaining extensive cross-cultural and international experience and working on strategic projects to ensure the business’s three to five-year global growth strategy. I worked closely with global marketing to develop and drive projects required to meet future growth expectations. As an example, technology enhancements that will be required for 2023 are currently under testing, as well as commercial trials with key partner groups in 2021/2022 which will be required well ahead of competitor and market needs. This will fuel growth for 2023 and beyond. -
