As the owner of The Pipe of Port, I have been running one of Southend's most iconic and historic restaurants for over 10 years, offering traditional and contemporary British cuisine along with a carefully curated wine list that showcases the diversity and quality of the wine world. Before taking on The Pipe of Port, I was with Bibendum Wine Ltd, firstly as an Account Manager followed by a role as a Buyer, bringing together Sales, Marketing, Management and Development of all things vinous.I am also a WSET Approved Educator and a Senior Judge at the International Wine Challenge, with a passion for sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm for wine and spirits with customers, students, and peers. I organize and host wine tastings, events, and education courses at The Pipe of Port and other venues, covering topics ranging from wine regions, styles, and pairings, to winemaking, service, and assessment. My mission is to provide an engaging, informative, and enjoyable experience for all wine lovers, whether they are beginners or experts, casual drinkers or collectors.
