Currently a senior member of an integration team working to establish an event driven backbone primarily based on an Apache Kafka implementation for our market within Liberty Mutual.My primary contributions to the project range from Jenkins pipeline modifications, specialising on securing the cluster and developing POC samples for partners.Previous projects include:- Lead Developer for an AWS Lambda hosted microservice written in Java with accompanying API Gateway, deployed using Bamboo pipeline- Lightweight underwriting application written using Spring Boot, Angular & MySQL with Bamboo deployment hosted in AWS- 2.5 years on a team implementing feature requests on an ASP.NET underwriting web application- Non project related activities include: - initiative to introduce CICD to an existing legacy application - engagement with local secondary school career programme - Volunteer judge with CoderDojo Coolest Projects 2017 - Judge for DIT Final Year projects 2018Prior to joining Liberty Information Technology, I was a member of the Olas Development team for four years where I fulfilled a Consultant Developer role. This comprised of meeting clients, proposing and delivering solutions to improve business execution in a variety of contexts. I worked on a number of interesting projects with the most significant being a Windows 8 app with accompanying web application & RESTful service for a leading Irish retailer.I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from NUI Maynooth where I was awarded First Class Honours. I am Microsoft certified in ASP.NET MVC and have completed various training programmes such as Selenium Webdriver, JavaScript, Release Management, Business Objects, Consultancy and Communications skills.
