The position comprises but is not limited to:- Sending RFQs / RFIs and then analyzing - comparing - reviewing quotations.- Purchasing chemicals, consumables, expandables, repairables, tooling,.. for TNT Airways’ aircrafts (B737s + B757), Panair's (BAE146s) and third parties' (B737s + B757s + B767s) depending on the specific requirements of Line&Light Maintenance in LGG (curative) and Base maintenance in BRU (preventive).- Ensuring rotables / repairables supply according to the contracts in force between X-Air * TNT Airways * AAR * Sabena Aerospace.- Loaning IN/OUT tooling.- Negotiating prices - terms of payment according to priority: routine, critical, AOG.- Arranging transports: AOG = direct drive or hand carry / CRITICAL = by air overnight / ROUTINE = by air economy.- Following up purchases from order to incoming inspection in stores.- Communicating orders status in real time.- Stock management: replenishment, setting min/max levels & order points + controlling them on a regular basis and adapting consequently based on past consumption, occasional visual checks, advertising and sale of deadstock / overstock, disposal of shelf-life expired items,…- Fixing nonconformities - invoicing issues.- Getting Quality Department approval for new suppliers.- Defining “Preferred Suppliers” based on quality/price, stock location, payment terms, customer service,… after they have passed our internal audit in line with strict aviation standards.- Assisting Airlines & co in need (sales, loan out of tools,…).- Being extremely CUSTOMER MINDED (! A/Cs airworthiness + Ops !)- Constantly trying to find new reliable suppliers with good terms (pricing, payment, stock location, lead time, MOQs) in order to challenge current suppliers or have a competitive alternative (Plan B).- Striving to maximize COST EFFECTIVENESS (close eye on TCO) which drives the company PROFITABILITY.- Back up: requests controller/customs and transport + repair officers/storekeepers- ...
