- Researching criminal and civil matters, analysing and interpreting laws, preparing legal documentation, policies, practices and procedures including legal pleadings, motions, notices, applications, protection orders, affidavits, summons, discovery, contracts and agreements, settlement agreements.- Attend Court (regional and district) for civil law cases, criminal matters and the filing of documents, uplifting of court files and placing matters on the roll.- Assisting with petitions to the High Court, the Supreme Court of Appeal and to the Judge President of the SCA.- Act as an intermediary; facilitating the resolution of disputes; Facilitate in advising clients against exposure to negative legal implications or consequences, providing accurate/professionally researched counsel on legal matters.- Draft heads of arguments, and maintain an up to date knowledge with regards to case law, regulations, changes and developments within the legal sphere.- Attend consultations with counsel and clients, settlement negotiations/enquiries and insolvency meetings.- Supported with and attended witness interviews, depositions & trial preparation.
