Also, I presided several hiring committees to recruit members as we, just like the industry, are short of personnel. Furthermore, I had to handle several labour relation issues as a manager, which I can confidently say that I have reached an expertise level to handle most HR issues. I was the services manager of the integrated personal support center in helping ill and injured armed forces members and bereaved families with administratives services entitled to them. I ensured that military members were safely reintegrated into the workforce or accompanied them through the process of a medical release. I stood up the center from the initial approval of this initiative in 2007. I managed the expansion of it until my departure. Furthermore, I orchestrated several counselling sessions with commanding officers and members to educate them on all administrative procedures related to an injury while in service or a death. Looking after the bereaved families was definitely the challenging part but also the most rewarding when they felt like no one was leaving them behind. I was an air navigator on the CC-130 Hercules aircraft for 17 years. I acquired several work experiences while serving the country and operating around the world. Being a military officer allowed me to develop leadership, autonomy and initiative skill sets. Progressing through the training, standards and staff officer roles permitted the betterment of me competencies as an officer, leader and visionary.
