I established Wealden Joinery in 1994 to offer high quality, hand crafted joinery to trade and public clients in East Sussex and Kent. The business has grown over the past 20 years and I now have a small team of highly committed and skilled craftsmen working for me. The focus of my business is made-to-measure doors, windows and stairs for a range of buildings from Grade 1 listed to new builds. Quality is of great importance to me. I specify for super prime and prime grade European oak rather than joinery grade oak to get a higher standard of product. I also pride myself on the bespoke service and attention to detail I can provide, helping customers make decisions about the style, wood and glass for their joinery, and keeping them updated as the job progresses. It is not acceptable to me for joinery to be late for a specified installation date, and so I have set up internal time management mechanisms to ensure Wealden Joinery maintains its excellent record of delivering on time.In 2014, Wealden Joinery was awarded its Certificate in the use of Accoya - non-toxic, 100% recyclable wood sourced from sustainable forests. In addition to all the measures already in place to reduce the environmental footprint of the company, I have pursued solar power to provide the energy for the workshop and this will be installed in 2015. With vast premises near Rotherfield in East Sussex I continue to develop the business to its full potential and have recently taken on another full-time joiner. In February 2015 I was given an Action Coach award for business development.
