Responsibilities:Complete oversight of all material requests during heavy maintenance checks on Virgin Atlantic’s fleet of B747,B787, A330 & A340 aircraft overseas.Materials• Setting up contractual obligations of the MRO for best practice part ordering.• Manage procurement options for material requests within an agreed budget and scoping out best supply solution including Repair/Exchange or outright purchase.• Reviewing aircraft allowable defects ahead of input to ensure material allocation and defects are workable. • Review all parts requests against current IPC, CMM & SB documentation.• Material invoice reviewing ensuring accurate billing of material mostly in excess of $1m• Ensuring EASA Part M oversight is maintained in all aspects of MRO maintenance.• Analyze material usage for future planning and cost control ensuring minimal “out of maintenance” defects.Technical• Acting Technical Rep liaising between MRO and Airline reporting to the Check Manager• Technical document review ensuring accuracy of Task Cards against SB’s, DD’s and routine tasks.• Review of Technical Records for component changes and life limited components.• Cabin survey pre and post check to ensure compliance with regulatory and airline standards.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:• Proficient in the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint. • Experienced using data from multiple sources – Analytic skills.• Experienced using Ultramain Material and Planning System
