My newest novel, "One Night With Lilith," was published earlier this year, before being swept into the coronavirus vortex, along with a string of readings and other events (yes, I plan to restart when it's safe). It followed my first novel, "My Wife's Last Lover," and a collection of short stories, "Where Things Are When You Lose Them."A book of poetry, "A Note of Consolation for Lucia Joyce," was published late last year. For years my day job was as a journalist, a reporter, editor, and feature writer at daily newspapers, lastly as an editor at Reuters in New York City, where I also co-wrote a column on style and usage.Now, aside from writing, and feeling guilty about not writing, I occasionally work with students privately as a writing coach, and serve on my town's Environmental and Historic Preservation commissions.You can read more about me on my newly redesigned (something that can still happen in a pandemic) website: http://martingolan.com
