Working for an independent regional wholesaler, managing a team of four sales people in the on trade. We offer a delivered wholesale service in a highly competitive marketplace, throughout central Scotland. Working closely with our buyer and brand owners I ensure we maintain our position as Scotland’s largest independent wholesaler.

Working with a luxury drinks portfolio, I was responsible for managing direct account business within Scotland. I managed a team of 3 sales people and was responsible for an annual turnover of £3m. This was generated through a network of independent cash and carries, Scottish wholesalers and retailers. I was tasked with maintaining existing distribution points and leveraging new listings across an extensive portfolio. Working closely with the marketing team, I would initiate bespoke promotional programmes to ensure rate of sale. I was also responsible for the financial management of annual budgets and providing the business with accurate forecasts for stock requirements. I was required to act as an ambassador for the company, hosting trips for key decision makers to France and various distilleries. Finally I would host regular tastings and training sessions for retailers, bar staff and consumers.

Working in the off trade sector, I was responsible for maintaining and increasing the market share of E & J Gallo’s wine portfolio within East Scotland. Achieved by gaining new distribution points and maximising merchandising opportunities.
