The CID (Cable Installation Delivery) Vessel Delivery Manager (VDM) is the vessel’s single point of contact for project and tendering teams; providing continuity of knowledge regarding the vessel’s capabilities, performance, cost base and technical library.During project execution, the Vessel Delivery Manager acts as CID package manager for all standard vessel deliverables. Supporting the Project to deliver the vessel program according to schedule, whilst ensuring constant, efficient, and safe ways of working.

Responsible for maintenance teams on board Saipem vessels, involved in offshore Pipe lay, Umbilical Lay and Subsea Construction. Planning and forecasting maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair of all equipment related to offshore construction, such as Cranes, Tensioners, Reel Drive Systems, Carousels, Winches, Piling Hammers and ROV Launch & Recovery systems.Playing and active part in creating a safe and Health and Safety Culture. Supervising and mentoring mechanics to allow them to increase their knowledge and trade skills, allowing them to reach their full potential and increase production for the company.

Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of lay systems and equipment on board Subsea 7 flexible pipelay vessels. I provided guidance and support for the vessels and my team of technicians and supervisors during maintenance periods and flexible umbilical lay operations. I ensured all systems on the vessels were operational, and that all annual certification and legislation was conformed to and in date. I managed upgrade programs, sought new ideas and implemented improvements to the systems wherever possible and practical.I also provided project support for mobile assets such as Reel Drives, Carousels, Winches and Tensioners, globally throughout the Subsea 7 fleet.

Employed to maintain all mechanical and hydraulic equipment including propulsion systems on modern military aircraft up to a self-supervisory standard.Perform maintenance activities on aircraft at home and abroad, in austere environments such as Afghanistan and the Falkland Islands and also in extreme testing weather conditions.Responsible for forecasting preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections, de-conflicting where necessary with other maintenance requirements.Carrying out urgent structural repairs on primary structures and components, using aluminium alloys and composite materials. Promoted to Supervisor, Additional responsibilities including; managing a full shift of mechanical technicians, ensuring subordinates are correctly trained and skilled for the task, prioritising workloads in consultation with senior management and tasking manpower accordingly.Instruct team members in the completion of fault diagnosis and rectification tasks and assume responsibility for leading teams of between three and six technicians through larger rectification tasks.Spent 8 months in 2003/2004 working in direct support of UK operations in the middle East, handling and carrying out rectification where required on various aircraft types in order to enable them to complete essential missions against critical deadlines, as well as overseas postings in 2005-08 to Gibraltar and 2012 to the Falkland Islands.In 2006, also qualified in the maintenance, operation and fault diagnosis of aircraft propulsion systems, such as Rolls Royce jet engines and basic electrical fault finding.Trained and experienced in the use of major component test equipment and in the use of heavy lifting equipment, such as cranes, slings and hoists.
